to share whatever they feel is relevant. Evolving in a globalized world meant
that everything was connected and interconnectivity has made it easier to converse,
correspond and gain knowledge from others, which in turn makes
sharing extremely important. She further reveals that
Generation Y are sharing the now, because their experiences and encounters will
only get value if shared with others making the experience more relevant and
memorable. Van den Bergh (2014) goes on to uncovering that the millennials have
clear preferences for using certain channels (social media platforms) depending
on the content they want communicate.
